Wayne Rooney’s Manchester United has come to a rather anti-climatic end.

The 31-year-old has completed a transfer that sees him return to Everton on a two-year deal after a 13-year spell away from the Merseyside Blues.

In that time, Rooney has gone on to become captain and all-time top scorer for England and United.
