Zlatan Ibrahimovic headlines the list, with his future at Manchester United unclear given his recent ACL injury. He’s undoubtedly the best player available, but he also won’t return to playing action until January, so he may not receive any contract offers until the next transfer window.
John Terry, Pepe, Iker Casillas, and Mario Balotelli are among the other high-profile names who would come without any transfer fee (although with hefty wage packages, no doubt).
Lyon youngster Rachid Ghezzal is an intriguing prospect, with the 25-year-old having fallen down the pecking order after the arrival of Memphis Depay, and he has previously been linked with Arsenal and Everton. He could end up being the bargain buy of the summer.
