With the transfer deadline fast approaching, clubs scramble to complete deals and things can get pretty chaotic to say the least.
With teams holding out for the best possible deal, transfers often go down to the wire. We’ve earlier listed the ten worst deadline day moves but it’s not all doom and gloom.
Just ask Rafael van der Vaart. The Dutchman featured in our Ten Worst list but also makes an appearance this time around for his earlier deadline day move from Real Madrid to Tottenham in 2010 which proved to be a hit.
Like him, there are several other last-ditch transfers which turned out to be hugely successful.
