Novak Djokovic brought world number one Andy Murray’s 28-match winning streak to an end in Doha on Saturday to retain the Qatar Open title in a three-set thriller.

Serb star Djokovic won 6-3, 5-7, 6-4 in a match lasting almost three hours to claim his 25th career victory over his great British rival.

Saturday’s final meeting between the world’s two top-ranked players was their 36th overall, with 19 of those coming in finals.

Djokovic is well ahead in their Grand Slam final meetings, winning in six of the eight occasions they have clashed on court.
