Juventus’ Gonzalo Higuain and AC Milan’s Leonardo Bonucci among top 5 highest-paid players in Serie A

AC Milan defender Leonardo Bonucci has now joined Argentinian Gonzalo Higuain as Serie A’s highest-paid player after his move from Juventus this summer.

According to figures mentioned in Thursday’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport, both earn salaries of £6.86million.

Bonucci has now overtaken Juve’s Paulo Dybala who signed a contract worth £6.4m with the Bianconeri.

Meanwhile, Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma (£5.49m) is fourth on the list followed by midfielder Miralem Pjanic (£4.1m) in fifth.

Massimiliano Allegri, Juve’s boss, is the highest-earning manager in the league with a salary of £6.4m a year to his name.
