In a 25-year career with Roma that saw him symbolise Italian football, Francesco Totti scored 250 Serie A goals, won one World Cup and saw four presidents walk through the doors of the Quirinal Palace.

On Sunday, the Roma legend played his final game, signing off in a 3-2 win over Genoa.

The 40-year-old has had a storied career since making his debut in 1993, finishing second on the Serie A all-time scoring list. No other one-club player has scored more Serie A.

Totti has the third-most Serie A appearances, trailing only Paolo Maldini and Gianluigi Buffon.
