With 10 of the top 100 golfers in the world from England, shouldn’t the sport be one of the most popular in the country?
Well, that’s an assumption to reconsider because, according to a poll of 2,000 Brits conducted by Casumo.com, golf was voted as the most boring sport to watch.
Over 70% of Brits who watched the sport say that it is boring – followed by American Football (59%), Cricket and Darts (58%) and Snooker (57%).
Basketball, Horse Racing and Cycle are also high on the list of the dullest sports.
At the other end of the table, 47% of people consider athletics to be the most exciting ahead of Tennis (43%) and Gymnastics (37%).
Football is the fifth most exciting sport to watch – with 43% of people.
