While Mohamed Salah might be available to be play against Russia in their second group stage fixture of World Cup 2018, according to Egypt team manager Ihab Leheta, the images emerging from training show there is still room for improvement.

The 26-year old suffered a shoulder injury during Liverpool‘s Champions League final against Real Madrid on May 26 and has been out of action ever since.

Salah started on the bench in Egypt’s 1-0 loss to Uruguay at the Ekaterinburg Arena, as José Giménez scored the winner against the Pharaohs.

During training on Saturday though, Salah was helped by his team-mates when trying to wear his bib, while also pointing to his left shoulder in one of the images.

The positive news however, was that the forward did take part in a full training session along with the team at the Akhmat Arena stadium in Grozny.
