Adam Lallana to miss out on Liverpool’s squad for West Ham but Daniel Sturridge makes the starting XI

After a superb pre-season including a 4-1 hammering of Manchester United, a 5-0 thrashing of Napoli and a 2-1 come-back win over Manchester City, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool go into there opening Premier League match of the season against new-look West Ham on Wednesday.

And with so many players in top form – plus four new arrivals – the Reds boss has an embarrassment of riches when trying to select his match-day 18.

The toughest job is trying to work out who to pick and who to leave out.

With Liverpool’s superb squad Klopp will have a real challenge managing some bruised egos this season.

Here’s how we think the Reds 18 will line-up for the opening weekend – and there are quite a few surprises.
