A host of players have been reported to the ICC for illegal bowling actions since the 15 degree elbow extension limit for bowlers was written into the laws of the game in 2003.

Pakistan's Saeed Ajmal is the latest name to be added to that list and the man who has taken over 400 international wickets will now undergo remedial work in Australia in a bid to rescue his career. At 36-years-old you wonder why it has taken so long for the ICC to take action, considering Ajmal has played international cricket for more than six years and was first reported for his action back in 2009.

Even more scrutiny has been placed on spin bowlers since the invention of the 'doosra' but some of the world's most feared fast men have also been dogged by claims that they 'chucked' the ball.

Some have failed to return to the field, while others successfully put in the hours in the nets to eradicate the problem.
