Chalhoub Group and Al Tayer Group win big at the Dubai Corporate Games

The just concluded Dubai Corporate Games were again a total success, with a new record participation of 3300 participants.

Besides the usual large contingents from regular participating companies such as Unilever, Mars, Nestle, GE, PepsiCo and Choueiri Group, the Games welcomed the 1st participation of MAF Group, Dubai Duty Free, Amico Group…

The 2 day event had participants take part in 17 different sports, including the newly added fitness / StrongMan competition, with separate individual and team categories.

The most notable winners included The Choueiri Group who dominated the Karting event, Unilever who won the football competition, Petrofac ruling the Fitness event.

Al Tayer group and surprise package Chalhoub Group both won 8 gold medals, but the Al Tayer Group were declared “Best Overall Performing Company”, only by placing more 2nds and 3rds.

PepsiCo had an off year by their usual standards but still finished 3rd overall, ahead of the team from Nestle.

Most of the competitions took place around the fantastic facilities at the American University in Dubai, where a giant LED screen relayed images from the various grounds.

Sponsors had various on-site activations that kept participants entertained. 2 participants won Dhs 5,000/- each in the “Bank of Sharjah” sponsored basketball half-court shot competition
