In 2014 Mexican Esteban Gutierrez's Sauber collisided with the Lotus of Pastor Maldonado.
Maldonado was coming out of the pits on lap 40 and turning through Turn One - the newly renamed Schumacher corner.
Gutierrez emerged unharmed and Maldonado was given a five-place grid penalty for the next race.
Kimi Räikkönen had a spectacular rear suspension breakage during the first qualifying session in 2006.
The crash forced him back to 22nd place on the grid but he fought back to claim third.
Renault rookie Heikki Kovalainen walked away from a massive shunt in testing in 2007.
Kovalainen wrecked the right side of his car after smashing into a barrier at high speed.
In 2008 Lewis Hamilton lost control on the kerb at 125mph on the dusty Sakhir circuit.
The impact triggered a G-force warning light, signalling that Hamilton had to submit himself to a medical.
