19:43 10/09/2014

Is this the future of travel for elite-level athletes?

Whether it's football stars jetting across the world to combine club and country commitments or track-and-field athletes hopping around the globe to various meets, the elite-level sportsperson is in more demand than ever.

Travel and technology company Teague – in collaboration with sports giants Nike – have designed this innovative prototype which could revolutionise the way athletes travel the world.

The 'Athlete's Plane' is designed to provide the perfect environment pre and post match, offering all the necessary facilities for players to rest and recuperate.

Among the many impressive facets to the aircraft include lie-flat seating, compression sleeves for sore muscles, a seperate cabin to cancel out noise and an area to enable in-flight analysis and testing.
