Major League Soccer continues to attract fine talent looking for greener pastures once their European football careers seemingly run their course.

The standard of football is good, fan bases are constantly growing and life in the United States can be rewarding. Also, the wages on offer aren’t to shabby either.

The likes of David Beckham, Thierry Henry and Didier Drogba have enjoyed the monetary benefits of the league in the past and it paved the way for more stars like Robbie Keane, Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard to follow suit.

Of late, even Andrea Pirlo and Kaka have succumbed to its allure and have been well compensated with the Brazilian being the highest earner in the league.

Recent Manchester United export Bastian Schweinsteiger also landed himself a sweet deal, coming in with the league’s seventh highest wages.
