The Director of the Club, Fred Deswarte gave a presentation about Paris Saint Germain and elaborated on the objectives of this Academy.

Boys and girls of age 3-23 years came to the event, playing friendly matches amongst themselves.

Anelka himself took part in the coaching and training sessions held for the members of the club.

When asked about his connection with PSG, he said: “I always had a special bond with my club, and I always will.

“It’s my club, it’s the club which gave me the chance to grow. I call it my club because I signed at the age of 12 and I stayed until I was 17 years old, the first time. It’s the place I began to play at a high level.”

Anelka will be working closely with coaches and will follow the progression of the kids through every season.

“I love working with youngsters. I love the youth and I love PSG. Here is a huge responsibility which I am going to take on my shoulders and I will live up to it,” he said.

“I know expectations are high but I am motivated to take on this role as technical adviser for the PSG. I am privileged to continue being part of the Paris Saint Germain family and the development in Dubai by sharing my life and career experiences.”

The Academy is currently receiving and kids can register online at www.psgacademydubai.com or email info@psgacademydubai.com for more information.
