Here are five striking imports who have experienced mixed fortunes since signing for the Dubai-based side.

Will Wanderley be a success at Al Nasr? Let us know your thoughts, use #360fans on Twitter and Facebook.

LUCA TONI

Nation: Italy
Period at Nasr: January 2012 – August 2012
Appearances: 8
Goals: 3
Minutes per goal: 203.7
Win ratio: 37.5

Much was expected of the 2006 World Cup winner upon arrival, but he flopped in Dubai. Remarkably after these travails, he would later go on to be Serie A top scorer in 2014/15 for Hellas Verona.

BRUNO CORREA
Nation: Brazil
Period at Nasr: July 2012 – June 2013
Appearances: 23
Goals: 16
Minutes per goal: 117.1
Win ratio: 43.5

The tall striker did well in a poor team while on loan from Iran’s Sepahan. But a tally of 19 goals during 32 matches was not enough to convince incoming coach Ivan Jovanovic to keep him on. Moved to Dubai CSC.

TAKAYUKI MORIMOTO
Nation: Japan
Period at Nasr: January 2013 – June 2013
Appearances: 13
Goals: 6
Minutes per goal: 178
Win ratio: 38.5

With Nasr flailing under then coach Walter Zenga, he turned to a familiar face on loan to turn things around. The pair had worked well together at Catania and a decent spell followed. But Nasr has no desire to buy him.

IBRAHIMA TOURE
Nation: Senegal
Period at Nasr: August 2013 – January 2016
Appearances: 43
Goals: 34
Minutes per goal: 109.5
Win ratio: 44.2

Life was never dull once a move from Monaco was secured. Toure scored tons of goals, but was ostracised after deciding to go AWOL for the second summer in a row. Is now unwanted at China’s Liaoning Whowin.

NILMAR
Nation: Brazil
Period at Nasr: July 2015 – now
Appearances: 26
Goals: 11
Minutes per goal: 188.6
Win ratio: 42.7

The Brazil striker’s face has not managed to fit in Dubai. Boss Jovanovic retained the same direct tactics from Toure’s time, despite the difference in size. A return to Spain’s La Liga seems likely after Wanderley buy.
