Pep Guardiola lost his first match in charge of Manchester City on Wednesday as he was handed a 1-0 defeat by former employers Bayern Munich.

Carlo Ancelotti led the Bavarians against their ex-boss and emerged victorious courtesy of a goal from Erdal Ozturk.

Bayern had several chances in the opening period at the Allianz Arena while City retalliated in the second half.

Ultimately, it wasn’t a happy trip back to Munich for Pep.

CONTE REGISTERS FIRST WIN

New striker Michy Batshuati made his first appearance for Chelsea as Antonio Conte oversaw his first win for the club.

Bertrand Traore, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Nathan Chalobah scored to ensure a comfortable 3-0 victory over RZ Pellets.
