The 31-year-old’s goal in the 4-0 rout over Eibar earned him the prestigious goalscoring accolade.

Ronaldo now has 255 goals in 232 La Liga matches for Los Blancos – and is the club’s record goalscorer in all competitions.

The Portuguese star only failed to hit the coveted 30-goal mark in his first season at the Santiago Bernabeu in 2009-10, although he still managed 26 strikes in 29 appearances.
