This month, Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney will visit Dubai as he continues his recovery from a knee injury.
The England striker, who is hoping to recover in time to lead his country at Euro 2016, is the latest in a long line of Premier League players who have chosen the warmer climes of the UAE in which to aid their rehab.
Rooney will be hoping he has better luck than some of those on our list, with the Dubai sun doing little to help the long-term injury prospects of the likes of Jack Wilshere and Abou Diaby over the years.
