India completed a 208-run victory over Bangladesh in the only Test of their series at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad on Monday.

Needing seven wickets to wrap up the win on the final day, the Indians got off to the perfect start with Ravindra Jadeja dismissing key batsman Shakib Al Hasan early on.

The Bangladesh batsmen kept getting starts, but were unable to kick on and bat out a long innings that could have saved them the Test. Mahmudullah was the best of the lot, facing 149 deliveries for his 64.

The visitors were eventually bowled out for 250, with Kamrul Islam Rabbi left stranded having dug in for an unbeaten three from 70 balls.

India spinners Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin both picked up four wickets, while Ishant Sharma bowled an impressive spell with the old ball which fetched him two scalps.

Unsurprisingly, it was Virat Kohli who was named the man of the match for his double century in India’s first innings.
