As two of the all time greats of tennis prepare to square up to each other for the 45th time in their careers, and with the head-to-head record currently tied at 22 wins a piece, there is more than a place in Sunday’s final to play for.

Djokovic and Federer have met in 14 Grand Slam matches to date, including seven semi finals, with the Serb leading 8-6 in their major clashes.

This will be their fourth meeting on the courts of Melbourne, and first since 2011, with Djokovic currently edging the previous encounters, 2-1.
