The Greatest Royal Rumble is in the books, after an incredible night in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

What promised to be one of the biggest WWE cards of all time hit the heights with some great matches – here’s the full rundown.

Braun Strowman wins the WWE Greatest Royal Rumble match

Considering the size of the event, this was pretty well paced with some solid booking. Daniel Bryan’s standout performance continues his reintroduction, while Big Cass looked strong by eventually eliminating him. A Strowman win was always the right move, with the Monster Among Men now surely set for another tilt at the Universal Title picture. We should all spare a thought for Titus O’Neill, probably.

Brock Lesnar (c) defeats Roman Reigns to retain the WWE Universal Championship in a Cage Match

A disappointing, ambiguous, finish cast a shadow over what otherwise had been a good match. We knew it would be limited in terms of moves, but the finish now leaves the door wide open for yet another chapter in a tale fans are already tired of. This was the perfect opportunity to end things.

The Undertaker defeats Rusev in a Casket Match

Nothing unexpected here. Taker followed up his WrestleMania win with another strong display in Jeddah. How WWE uses him now remains to be seen, but you can imagine a decent hiatus. Rusev now needs a little love backstage to mirror the thoughts of fans.

AJ Styles (c) and Shinsuke Nakamura have a double count out, AJ retains World Heavyweight title

The face/heel dynamic here made for a much better match than the one we saw at WrestleMania. Shinsuke is playing the heel roll well, but needs more in his arsenal than constant low blows. While a double count out is never particularly satisfying, see AJ really on the attack was a nice touch.

Seth Rollins (c) defeats Samoa Joe, The Miz, Finn Balor, Ladder Match to retain the WWE Intercontinental Championship

As with Mania, the battle for the IC title was arguably the match of the night. The chemistry between Rollins and Balor is sensational, and The Miz is more than holding his own in there too – add in the superb Joe and it was a recipe for a classic that didn’t fail to deliver.

The Bludgeon Brothers (c) vs. The Usos for the WWE “SmackDown” Tag Team Championships

Another dominating display as this rivalry feels like it may be coming to a close.

Jeff Hardy (c) defeats Jinder Mahal to retain the United States Championship

Not one for the highlight reels. Hardy was always going to hold with the two now being on different shows, but this one failed to ignite – not helped by one of the biggest spots of the match being missed.

Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt defeat The Bar to win the WWE “RAW” Tag Team Championships

With The Bar headed to Smackdown this one did seem a little predictable. Solid match though. The direction of Hardy and Wyatt will be interesting, there is good chemistry between the pair, and they offer so much more than just in-ring entertainment.

Cedric Alexander (c) defeats Kalisto to retain the WWE Cruiserweight Championship

As with Mania the Cruiserweights found themselves pretty low down on the card – but boy did they deliver. A really entertaining match.

John Cena defeats Triple H via pinfall

The perfect way to start the show. The veterans allowed this one to swing back and forth, with high spots, near falls, and everything in between. They looked like they were having fun out there – and we had fun watching.
