Spain’s intense 2-2 draw against Morocco on Monday saw them qualify for the World Cup‘s knockout stages as group leaders.

Fernando Hierro‘s men will now face Russia in the round of 16 on July 1.

And while they might be among the favourites, they were made to work hard against the Atlas Lions.

Here we take a look at all the goals from their final Group B game.

A mix-up between Andres Iniesta and Sergio Ramos set Morocco striker Khalid Bouatib away in open space, and he didn’t miss the chance to put his team ahead – firing through the legs of David De Gea.

Spain replied almost instantly with Iniesta making a run into the Moroccan box and then cutting back a pass to Isco, who was at hand to provide a smart finish.

Youssef En Nesyri jumped highest during the corner in the 81st minute and headed in a goal that put Morocco in a position to seal an historic victory against Spain. It wasn’t meant to be though.

The injury-time goal was ruled out at first by the referee, due to offside, but later given after VAR was consulted – substitute Iago Aspas scoring audaciously with his heel.
