Russian world No25 Daria Kasatkina is the latest tennis player to have her portrait painted by renowned French artist Le Closier.

Le Closier, who has painted portraits of the likes of Martina Navratilova, John McEnroe, Jimmy Connors, Andre Agassi, Gustavo Kuerten, Serena Williams and Rafael Nadal in the past, presented Kasatkina with the painting at the recently concluded US Open.

The portrait was commissioned by Kasatkina’s academy TC Empire and its CEO Miloslav Hlavna.

Cool gift: From Dasha’s academy.

Kasatkina, 19, started the year ranked No75 in the world and has enjoyed a meteoric rise that has seen her enter the world’s top-25. She claimed two top-10 scalps in 2016 – Venus Williams and Roberta Vinci.
