Roger Federer‘s 20-match winning streak on grass came to an end as Croatian Borna Coric denied the Swiss the 99th title of his career on Sunday with a 7-6 (8/6), 3-6, 6-2 triumph in the final of the ATP Halle event.

Federer lost the No1 ATP ranking to Rafael Nadal and missed out on a record 10th title at the German venue.

The 36-year-old dropped the opening set in a tiebreak but leveled in the second. Coric then raised his game in the final set to take victory and just his second ATP title.
