Dubai Rugby Sevens Launch Party set to kick-off festivities this weekend

Celebrations for the Dubai Rugby Sevens will kick off at the Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens Launch Party taking place this Saturday at ‘Rugby Central’ at Emirates Golf Club.

Renowned for its tremendous golfing facilities, the club is hosting Rugby Central, its official Rugby World Cup 2015 fanzone, during the tournament, which will be transformed into a rugby sevens haven for the launch party.

Featuring music, entertainment, competitions, cheerleaders as well as live World Cup matches, this is set to be a fun-filled rugby celebration.

The party starts at 18:00, is free and if you come in fancy dress you have a chance of winning some great prizes.

Now in its 46th year, the Dubai Sevens will attract some of the world’s best players as excitement for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio mounts.

With more than 250 teams taking part in the Invitation tournament and 32 teams in the netball tournament, coupled with an array of new entertainment, this year is set to be the biggest rugby festival Dubai has ever seen.

Tickets will be on sale at the launch party for fans who haven’t snapped theirs up yet and anyone who buys a ticket or already has one can celebrate with a free beverage.

Ticket prices are: Thursday, December 3, free admission; Friday, December 4, in advance Dh300, on the day Dh400; Saturday, December 5, in advance Dh300, on the day Dh400; season tickets (Friday and Saturday), in advance Dh500, on the day Dh600.

Children under 12 receive free admission.
