Rugby fans have the chance to watch the Six Nations alongside a Welsh legend this weekend.

To celebrate the recent launch of his Dubai-based rugby academy, Mike Phillips will be joining fans at The Tap House, Club Vista Mare, Palm Jumeirah for the crucial Ireland v Wales clash on Saturday.

Ireland currently sit atop the Six Nations table with two wins from two, but will face a resurgent Wales side that has won plaudits for their open style of play in their opening matches.

A win for Joe Schmidt’s side would set up a likely Grand Slam decider with England at Twickenham, but Wales will still harbour hopes of taking the Championship and a win in Dublin would really put the cat amongst the pigeons.

Phillips will have fond memories of playing Ireland having scored a famous try against them in Cardiff during the 2011 Six Nations, and then again later that year to help dump them out of the Rugby World Cup in the quarter finals.

He’ll be hoping for a similar result on Saturday.
