Will Genia insists Australia are ready to confront a snarling Owen Farrell when they clash with England at Twickenham on Saturday.

Farrell is expected to be restored at fly-half for the last of the autumn’s four Quilter Internationals after coming off the bench to inspire a 35-15 comeback win against Japan.

Genia, who will be winning his 100th cap, knows from previous meetings with England that Farrell sets a confrontational example to his team-mates.

“Owen’s pretty aggressive, he’s in your face and likes getting stuck in. He’s very physical as well – he can put a shot in,” Genia said.

“But he also managed the game really well and has a good understanding of the game. He does the simple things really well.

“Owen is a world class player and that’s what you expect from someone like him. He influences the game with his touches.

“The key for him and for England is getting involved as much as he can. I heard he had a big impact coming off the bench against Japan.”
