All Blacks unveil mammoth squad for Japan and Europe tours

All Blacks head coach Steve Hansen named his squad on Monday for the upcoming Test against Australia in Japan and tour of Europe involving matches against England, Ireland and Italy.

Flanker Matt Todd, who is currently playing for the Panasonic Wild Knights in Japan, has been selected for the European section of New Zealand’s tour in the absence of Sam Cane, who is recovering after fracturing his neck earlier this month.

Todd, 30, is set to return to New Zealand next year to play for Crusaders but would normally not be considered for selection while based overseas.

Here’s a look at the 32-man squad.
