Ball Above All week two produces some standout play

After a challenging year in 2020, Ball Above All has made a come back in the basketball community in Dubai. With strict covid guidelines, the league has come back in full swing, organizing 8 league categories a week. Men Elite, Semi-Elite, Division 3, Women Elite, Mixed, Youth Boys 12-15, Youth Boys 15-18, and Masters League (ages 40 and Above).  Week 2 of Season 1 of Ball Above All brought some jaw dropping plays and competitive games as usual.
The Game of the week was without a doubt the Semi Elite Men’s game between Vikings and Dubai Flight. The game came down to the wire in the 4th quarter and both teams only had 4 players each on the court due to foul trouble. Eventually, free throw dictated double overtime and with 10 seconds left on the clock Azumah Divine hit a three to put his Vikings up by 2 (92-90). But Lloyd Eduto had other ideas with no timeouts left on the clock; he ran the court from baseline and answered back with a 3 point shot of his own. Loyld ended with a near triple double with 20 Points, 11 Rebounds, and 8 Assists.
50C Ball played against Lakeshow, ending with a final score of 86-61 in favor of 50C Ball. 22 year old, Seraphin Mboma contributed a game high 19 Points to seal the deal. Desert Dawgs blew out the Dubai Heat with a 54 Point margin victory, Hamid Moini ended the game with a double double performance of 22 Points and 10 Rebounds.
Men Elite games were competitive as usual. Dubai Fire defeated Brotown 79-74, with Hamid Moeini clinching another double double to lift his team (22 Points and 12 Rebounds). Triple Threat beat Dubai Heat 104-95 with ex-Lebanese Pro AlHassan Dandash scoring 47 points in the game along with 9 Rebounds and 8 Assists, Michel Hakim also added 30 Points. Falcons had a comfortable lead the whole game against Yugoslavia and came out on top with a final score of 77-64, Recai Ozturk added 15 Points and 7 Rebounds to lead his team.
In the Women Elite League Female Force played BasicBall Academy and beat them 58-53. Ex-Jordanian Pro Rasha Abdo had a near triple double performance of 24 Points, 10 Rebounds, and 8 Assists.
In other news the Division 3 league had the Agents 971 beat the Bad News Bears 69-50, We Not Me won against Dragons, The must younger Hustlers won against Dubai Royals. Hoopers DXB beat the LCT Squad, Black Panthers beat the Dubai Bulls, All In Sports had a 7 point lead in the end against the Titans. French Team, Les Bleus defeated DXB Magic, 73-48 and the final game of the D3 league had Dubai Fusion winning against Flying Phoenix.
The Wreckers and King & Queens started off the mixed league on Thursday, Wreckers beat the Kings & Queens 78-69. ManChestHair United beat Beauties & the Beasts 76-64. Los inmigrantes also won 91-58 against Dubai Jedis.
Youth Boys 15-18 years finally started its first game. Filipino Team Last Shot beat the Penguins 66-45, King Cobras defeated the All In Sports Youth Team 73-65, Sparsh Kadyan had a game high 31 Points and 7 Rebounds. The Stat line of the night was no doubt Alvin Tsela who had an insane double double performance of 36 Points and 30 Rebounds, a record in the Ball Above All league, NY Elite beat Stars Basketball Academy 71 to 63.
Youth 12-15 years began its second week. Desert Raiders beat BasicBall Academy 80-37, Marc Kfoury had a game high 23 Points to lift his team up. Ball Above All Academy won its game against Phases Academy 60-56, Mohamad El Masri had a triple double of 31 Points, 10 Rebounds, and 13 Assists.
The Masters League had two blowout games with RHRN beating Rock Skillz 81-46 and NMG beating Amigos 89-60.
