du LaLiga high performance centre players to join Al Jazira and Al Wahda clubs

du LaLiga High Performance Centre, the first ever global initiative for LaLiga, in partnership with du to provide youth across the UAE with a pathway to national, regional and international pro-football careers, announced today that 5 of its top talent have joined Al Wahda and Al Jazira Clubs.

The top talents were selected by the club scouts for their superior talent and skill, honed at the prestigious by invitation-only du LaLiga High Performance Centre, where they have undergone year-round professional development programs to world-class standards, delivered by LaLiga’s UEFA pro-certified coaches.

Midfielder Mohammed Sabri and offensive mid-fielder Abdelrahman Fouad have joined the U16 squad at Al-Jazira Club, while midfielders Yousef Mazen and Mustafa Mohamed, and left back Mohammed Jarrar have been selected for the U16 squads at Al-Wahda Club.

Since its establishment 4 years ago, du Laliga HPC has been producing a steady pipeline of world-class professional footballers for clubs and national teams.

Today’s announcement raises the total number of players to earn contracts and join professional club and national teams to 25.

Yago Aguilar, du LaLiga HPC Head Coach, commented on the latest players to join UAE clubs by saying: “Today’s announcement reflects du and LaLiga’s commitment to providing the opportunity for all high potential talent from across the UAE to be discovered and to develop their skills at the du LaLiga High Performance Centre, which has been recognized as an incubator of talent, through a rigorous ‘LaLiga’ training methodology, where players undergo the same training followed by youth clubs in Spain, to prepare them for professional football careers. We train players at the highest level and help them acquire the skills and mindset required for successful professional careers.”

The year-long program allows the du LaLiga HPC players to compete in local leagues and international tournaments and join the du LaLiga HPC scouting program in Spain, where they raise their level of play in competitive matches against LaLiga’s strongest teams, with club scouts in attendance, choosing the strongest players for trials with their clubs.

du LaLiga HPC’s stellar track record has prompted a partnership with the Abu Dhabi and Dubai Sports Council, which began in 2019, that is designed to power the professional development of high potential talent at Abu Dhabi and Dubai national professional clubs.  Under the partnership, selected players from each Emirate top clubs, joined the du LaLiga HPC scouting program in Spain after undergoing intensive training at the du LaLiga High Performance Centre in the UAE.
