FAZZA CHAMPIONSHIP SAKTOUN SHOOTING – DAY 1

The Fazza Championships bring together thousands of professionals and amateurs from multiple cultures to compete in various traditional sporting disciplines.

The series of events welcome participants from across the globe and there are three categories: men, women and juniors.

While remembering humble beginnings is certainly important, the championship will have scouts hoping to identify future prospects who can to follow in the footsteps of former victors in prestigious competitions such as the Asia Games, Olympics and Paralympics.

LADIES DASH ABU DHABI 2017

Sign up for the UAE’s first and only female relay race at the ladies-only Al Bateen Beach in Abu Dhabi.

The Ladies Dash is the country’s first and only ladies relay running race with an exclusive Activity Village laden with fun activities, fitness sections, and music and dance zones.

Although prizes will be awarded to the top 3 fastest teams, individuals best dressed and Activity Village challenge winners, all participants will leave the venue with a race pack containing giveaways.

PINK STRIDES SHARJAH 2017
Monday, March 13

Register for a leisurely 7km walk and impressive boat show at the Khalid Lagoon Corniche in Sharjah to help raise funds for breast cancer research and treatment.

Launched in 2011, the Pink Caravan established itself as a pan-UAE initiative focussed on combatting breast cancer. With each passing year, the organisation has earned recognition within and outside UAE borders, appointing ambassadors from various backgrounds to reach different voices and preach its ethos.

While the Caravan mostly organised horse-related events, the Pink Strides wants willing individuals to take to the streets for a 7km walk at the Khalid Lagoon Corniche in Sharjah to help promote healthy living and amass funds.

Aside from the principle event, there will also be a boat parade on the water nearby waters thanks to the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club’s cooperation.

Thanks to a fruitful collaboration with leading cancer research institute, Gustave Roussy Cancer Centre, the Pink Caravan helped inaugurate the Sharjah Breast Care Centre (SBCC), which offers comprehensive breast cancer treatments for inconveniences as a result of the disease.

URBAN ROOFTOP YOGA

In partnership with Urban Yoga, Talise Fitness will host a 90-minute yoga session with experts at the Jumeirah Emirates Towers.

Talise Fitness have prepared a treat for fitness aficionados in the UAE. Partnering up with Urban Yoga, this collective effort beckons members and non-members alike to test out the exclusive Rooftop Yoga class.

Individuals who sign up for the 90-minute yoga class will complete a series of exercises atop the iconic Jumeirah Emirates Towers in DIFC. Luluemon Ambassador and Urban Yoga resident yogi Omar Sultani will supervise and conduct this class to ensure participants reap the benefits.

BESPORT INDIVIDUAL TIME TRIAL WINTER SERIES – FINAL RACE

Test your cycling prowess with the BeSport individual time trial series.

Besport’s annual individual time trials series is back at Al Wathba track this winter. The seasonal four-race event has riders released at one-minute intervals, as they tackle the track’s 30km loop.

Youth participation is greatly encouraged with alternative 8km and 16km races running alongside the main cycling event.

The winner of the 30k time trial will win 1,500 AED, while second place takes home 1,000 AED and third 500 AED. Also, the top three will also receive medals and BeSport store vouchers.
