Dubai will welcome the return of its annual Corporate Games this March, marking the 12th edition of the tournament.

The multisport weekend is scheduled to take place on the March 17 and 18 at the American University in Dubai.

Other events will be hosted at the Dubai Autodrome, Emirates Golf Club and Internet City Lake.

Aimed at promoting corporate health and wellness, the weekend of activities will see participants in 17 different sports.

“We have sponsored the Dubai Corporate Games for a decade now and will continue to do so in the future,” said Pierre Choueiri, chairman of Choueiri Group, the Games’ title sponsor for the past ten years.

“The event emphasizes the value of teamwork and fair play, and promotes a healthier lifestyle, all of which are consistent with our company values.”

The corporate games supported by the Dubai Sports Council and the Sheikh Hamdan Initiative for Community Sports, was first initiated in 2006 with only 400 participants.

The games have since then grown with each year and now attracts more than 3,000 people, representing close to 60 companies.

It not only encourages physical activity but is also seen as a team-building exercise and provides a networking platform for corporate entities and employees.

The event also entails music, food and beverages, sponsor activations, outdoor activities, competitions and a kids’ corner, making it a family affair for all participants.
