Yas Marina Circuit welcomes back Circuits on the Circuit in support of breast cancer

Yas Marina Circuit’s breast cancer awareness initiative ‘Circuits on the Circuit’ will return to GoYAS by Daman’s ActiveLife will return for its third edition on Wednesday 12th October.

Hundreds of women will clock up the kilometres at Yas Marina Circuit on Wednesday evening, hosted by Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Academy (FBMA) in collaboration with Daman’s ActiveLife, Abu Dhabi Sports Council, and Health Authority – Abu Dhabi.

The activation will feature two exercise stations either side of a giant pink ribbon made up of pink fitness mats, and FBMA has pledged to donate Dh50 for each completed station to the Pink Caravan charity on behalf of participants. Yas Marina Circuit will match the donation to make a total of Dh100 per completed station per person.

On the track, participants will have the opportunity to cycle around the iconic F1 circuit in the FBMA cycling session with Waheeda, for which FMBA will donate another Dh50 for each cyclist’s completed round.

As well as these exercise activations, there will be complimentary health screening opportunities and advice.

Pink Caravan will set up a tent for breast screening, and Daman’s ActiveLife is hosting Danat Al Emarat Hospital in the GoYAS Village to provide free information pamphlets and advice on cancer prevention methods throughout the month of October at GoYAS.

Health Authority – Abu Dhabi (HAAD) will be hosting a seminar in its tent in collaboration with FBMA on “Breast Cancer Awareness: Tips for Prevention and Q&A”, also located in the GoYAS Village.

Also new to GoYAS, and launching on Wednesday 12thOctober, Yas Marina Circuit will be introducing a children’s zone of fun and active games through “Junior Gym”, which provide certified professionals to care for children while their mothers can participate in the activities on track. All children between the ages of 4-14 years (boys up to 10 years old) are welcome to attend. This new service will be provided for every GoYAS by Daman’s ActiveLife.

The activities will not only focus on the physical aspects, but also on the mind and soul growth which is vital for every child. Activities will include: kung fu, martial arts, yoga, gymnastics and meditation.
