Tickets for Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens go on sale

The Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens will take place between 1-3 December at The Sevens Stadium with over 100,000 fans and 4,000 players expected to be in attendance.

Now in its 47th year, the long-awaited three-day annual rugby festival will see Olympic sporting heroes take to the pitch in Dubai as Sevens will be contested for the very first time in the Olympic Games next month.

The Invitation Tournament will see action on all eight rugby pitches. Over 280 teams are expected, making this the largest Invitation Tournament to date.

On-pitch entertainment and music artists will feature. After the action on the pitch ends, the famous Rugby Rock comes alive with a number of bands and artists performing on stage.

Tournament Director, Jim Fitzsimons, said: “The Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens continues to grow and this year we are excited to welcome both men and women Olympic heroes following their first appearance at the Olympic Games in Rio next month. The level of play is at the highest standard we have ever seen and the growth of the Invitation Tournament has been phenomenal.”
