Held on Friday at the Els Club in Dubai, the event will celebrate excellence on and off the field with winners selected from a long list of nominees.

Rather than the formal affair it has been over the past three editions, this year’s Player Awards will feel more like a backyard BBQ with food trucks on hand and the dress code smart casual (shorts allowed for the summer heat).

Awards will be handed to players across all five of the EAFL’s divisions: PeeWee, Bantam, Jr Varsity, Varsity and Men’s.

Who will take home this year’s Player of the Year for the Men’s league? Running back Luke Norrey of the Dubai Barracudas already captured the Desert Bowl MVP as his team hoisted the championship this past season, while former winner and Abu Dhabi Wildcats running back Vivaldi Tulysse is hoping to get his hands back on the hardware.
