FINA/NVC DIVING WORLD SERIES

World diving superstars will arrive in Dubai for the second leg of the FINA/NVC Diving World Series.

A total of 69 competitors from 12 countries for both men and women will be competing for World Series Gold including a host of international newcomers looking to make an impact ahead of the Rio 2016 Olympics.

SHARJAH SENIOR INVITATIONAL PRO-AM
Wednesday, March 16

Prominent names set to compete in the 18-hole tournament include former Ryder Cup stars – Irishman Des Smyth and England’s Paul Broadhurst – as well as former European No 1 Ronan Rafferty from Northern Ireland.

The Sharjah Golf & Shooting Club is a Peter Harradine-designed course.

IPC ATHLETICS GRAND PRIX
Thursday, March 17 – Sunday, March 20

The IPC Athletics Grand Prix finals is the culmination of four days of top class track and field and features 600 athletes from 45 countries.

The Grand Prix series races cover all traditional distances from 100m up to 5,000m on the track, and field events consist of shot put, discus, javelin, club throw and long jump.

EMIRATES AIRLINE TWENTY20 CRICKET
Friday, March 18

The Emirates Airline Twenty20 is a fun-filled family day out with something for everyone.

The Premium BBQ Brunch is served from 12.30 – 3.30pm and includes meats, fish, salad and free-flowing house beverages (prices are available for non-alcohol drinkers), while there is an activity zone to keep kids entertained.

This year’s tournament will feature Lancashire Lightning, the MCC, the UAE National Team and the Yorkshire Vikings.

ABU DHABI CYCLE RACE 2

This community cycling race will begin from in front of the East Plaza on the Corniche, to Yas Island East and back to the Corniche for a total distance of 70Km.

The Race will included categories for: Elite, Open, Experienced, Juniors and (15+) and men and women will compete separately.

HH SHEIKH MAKTOUM BIN MOHAMMED POLO CUP
Friday, March 18 – Saturday, April 2


The inaugural HH Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed Polo Cup will conclude the 2016 high-goal series.

The 18-goal event – one of the highest handicap tournaments in the region – will run from Friday March 18 to Saturday April 2 at the Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club, a new equestrian centre currently under construction in DubaiLand.

ZAYED CHARITY MARATHON

There categories for both kids and adults so there is no excuse not to get out and do some exercise for a good cause in the UAE captial.

All registrations fees go directly to Kidney Research and donations can be made online without participating. Exceptional cash prizes will be awarded to the top three runners in the adult categories.

DUBAI GRAN FONDO

The UCI World Cycling Tour (UWCT) is a series of UCI-sanctioned races held all over the world where amateur and masters age-group cyclists can qualify for the UCI World Championships in both road races and time trials.

This is the fifth season of the Tour and thirteen qualifier events will qualify the top 25% in each age group for the Amateur Road World Championships, and the UCI Masters Road World Championships, where the champions are awarded with the coveted rainbow jersey.
