The misery continued for the Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA on Friday night, as their search for a first victory since March 27 goes on.

The hapless Eastern Conference Atlantic Division side's 13th defeat of the campaign and 23rd overall came against the Charlotte Hornets, for whom Al Jefferson had 26 points in a convincing 113-88 victory.

There was another 35-point margin at TD Garden, where the Boston Celtics beat the Brooklyn Nets 120-95. A 26-7 run in the second quarter did most of the damage.

Mike Conley scored 26 points for the Memphis Grizzlies in their 96-84 success over the Houston Rockets 96-84, while a 58-42 second half set up the Detroit Pistons for a 96-86 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Ryan Anderson poured in 30 points for the second successive game as the New Orleans Pelicans snapped a five-game skid with a 104-90 victory over the San Antonio Spurs, while Carmelo Anthony's 25 helped the New York Knicks see off the fast-finishing Oklahoma City Thunder 93-90.

The Dallas Mavericks won for a sixth successive match, 102-93 against the Utah Jazz, while there was an away success at Pepsi Center where the Phoenix Suns – boosted by Brandon Knight's impressive 38-point haul – saw off the Denver Nuggets 114-107
