Luck failed to recover from a shoulder injury and the ball was handed to 40-year-old Matt Hasselbeck who started his first game since November 2012.

Hasselback threw for 282 and one touchdown with no interceptions and led the 53-yard march to step up the winning points as the Colts moved to 2-2 for the season.

Elsewhere, Chicago quarterback Jay Cutler threw for two touchdowns as the Bears claimed their first win of the season with a 22-20 triumph over improving Oakland.

Cutler redeemed himself following an interception by helping set up a 49-yard field goal for Robbie Gould which sealed the win.

The Cincinnati Bengals remain unbeaten with Andy Dalton in impressive form as they defeated Kansas City 36-21.

Much-maligned quarterback Dalton completed 17 of 24 passes for 321 yards with a solitary but impressive 55-yarder to Brandon Tate on the run.
