One bit of news that shouldn’t fly under the radar is what Baker Mayfield‘s agent revealed regarding the interest the New England Patriots had in his client.

According to Jack Mills, the Patriots were considering trading up to No2 overall if Mayfield slipped past the Cleveland Browns at No1, which he didn’t.

It’s all hypothetical now, but it’s interesting that New England would have considered an aggressive move for a quarterback prospect as 40-year-old Tom Brady continues to get up there in age.
