The Brazilian suffered a broken foot in training last week and MMAFighting.com report that the UFC is currently working on finding a replacement to fight McGregor.

They say that nothing has been finalised on an opponent stepping in on less two weeks’ notice.

The divisive Irishman was aiming to become the first fighter in the promotion’s history two hold two belts simultaneously, adding to the featherweight strap he claimed in December’s 13-second KO of Jose Aldo.

That clash also had to be rescheduled after then champ Aldo withdrew from his initial fight with McGregor eleven days before UFC 189.

The UFC quickly brought in Chad Mendes in that instance but it is unknown who will replace Dos Anjos at this time.
