The heavyweight clash between Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira and Roy Nelson will headline the event in Abu Dhabi.

Nogueira, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu specialist and regarded one of the great UFC fighters of all time, will enter the Octagon at the du Arena the favourite.

'Minotauro' is the former Interim UFC Heavyweight World Champion and is currently ranked No11 in the UFC Heavyweight rankings.

A look at his statisitcs show what an effective grappler the Brazilian is, with 62% of his victories coming by way of submission. At 75in tall (6.25ft), Nogueira edges Nelson on height, but at 240lbs, is lighter than his American opponent.

While Nogueira is considered favourite, Nelson should prove a formidable foe. In fact, 'Big Country' is ranked two places higher in the UFC Heavyweight rankings at No9.

Nelson got his break in the UFC after winning The Ultimate Fighter television show – and the Las Vegas native is somewhat of a knockout specialist, winning by KO in 65% of his professional MMA fights. Indeed, while Nogueira will be seeking a submission finish, Neslon's gameplan will surely be based on landing a KO blow.

Nelson gives away three inches in height to Nogueira but will be hoping to use his 23lbs size advantage in his favour.

Sport360 prediction: Nogueira will be favoured for this showdown given his agility and immense grappling, but Nelson's knockout power cannot be disregarded, and if the American lands a clean shot we could be in for a shock. However, we believe Nogueira's experience will ultimately prove the difference. Nogueira by submission
