A total capacity of 1,500 people of different ages and abilities are set to take up the challenge in the seventh edition of the hugely popular swim, cycle and run at Yas Marina Circuit on February 17, 2017.

Early registration prices for UAE residents are available from now until December 31, with discounts of up to 20 per cent on standard rates.

There are also discounts for triathlon club members and ITU participants, while kids will be refunded their entire registration fee provided they take part.

TriYAS is considered the biggest entry-level triathlon in the region, with more than a third of the 1,500 racers in the 2016 edition being first-time triathletes.

Every effort is taken to ensure racers are prepared for their big day, from a dedicated 12-week pre-event triathlon fitness programme and a series of instructional videos by former champions, to detailed race briefings and a night before pasta party.

“This year we are making a considerable effort to encourage children to take part in KidsTRI by refunding the registration fee for any child who participates, as well as having dedicated youth ambassadors.”
