Dubai-based Sunmarke School have announced they are launching ‘The Infinity Games’ ahead of the Special Olympics in 2019 in the UAE.

The event fits in line with the Crown Prince of Dubai, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s initiative as a “My Community is a Place for All.”

The one-of-a-kind Games will take place on Friday, November 2 at Sunmarke’s School facilities. It will largely be run by volunteers of all ages from Sunmarke and various schools across Dubai.

Speaking of the initiative, Hollie Murphy, a PE teacher at Sunmarke School, and also the founder of The Sports Heroes Academy programme, said: “The purpose of The Infinity Games is to create a platform for equality and to give athletes of all sporting abilities a chance to shine.

“At Fortes Education, we aim to bring the sporting community of the UAE and Dubai together to deliver a powerful and meaningful event that will not only impact our own lives, but also impact the lives of those around us.”

She added: “The Infinity Games” will provide over 60 students who attend secondary mainstream schools in Dubai an opportunity to compete in a vast range of sporting activities such as gymnastics, athletics and cross-fit challenges and earn the title of “Infinity Games Champion.”

Sunmarke School, like all Fortes schools, is a leader in “Positive Education” that focuses on developing skills for academics and achievement and character development and wellbeing.

Fortes Education through its schools is committed to offering an inclusive education enabling all children to flourish and achieve their fullest potential.
