Intense competition witnessed in opening stages of latest Lebanese Expats Basketball League

The Lebanese Expats Basketball Championship tipped off in it’s third edition under the supervision of the UAE Basketball Federation and with the support of Dubai Sports Council.

Eight teams, Beirut, Saida, Byblos, Zahle, Tyre, Jounieh, Baalbek and Tripoli are competing for the title. The League is taking place at Champs Sports Club –Al Qouz –  UAE.

Opening weeks witnessed high competition between the teams leaving Tyre, Zahle and Byblos undefeated.

In week 3 Zahle Team won over Beirut. Mohamad Ismail was Bachir Icream MVP of the game, and Byblos grabbed a tough win over Saida by a great performance from Ahmad Tartoussi.

Baalbek Team defeated Tripoli after taking the game to a double overtime with the support of MVP Mazen Ghosn who finished the game with 50 points. In the last game of the third week, Andrew Savaya lead his team Tyre to their third win over Team Jounieh.
