Big prizes can be won at RTA 3-on-3 Streetball Tournament in Dubai

Registration closes today (30th October) at 10PM for the RTA 3-on-3 Streetball basketball tournament that is coming to Dubai on November 1. 

It is public transport day that day so it is a ftting testament that the event is held at the Al Ghubaiba Metro Station.

NBA's All-Time Leading Scorer, Kareem Abdul Jabbar will be making a guest appearance to see the standard of play and offer hints and tips to the competitors.

There will be four divisions that you have the choice to sign up for: Mens Divison 1 (Top competitive teams), Men's Division 2 (Players above the height of 6''4 will not be permitted) ​Women's and Boys U17s. 

Each player is only allowed to sign up for one team.

The registration fee is 50AED for all the divisions except the Mens Division 1 which is 100AED.

Here are the tasty winnings on offer for the team champions:

– Men's 1 (1st Place-10,000AED,  2nd Place-5,000AED
– ​Men's 2 (1st Place-3,000AED,  2nd Place-2,000AED)  
– Women's (1st Place-3,000AED,  2nd Place-2,000AED)   
– Boys Under 17 (1st Place-3,000AED,  2nd Place-2,000AED

Here are the rules: 

– Games are 3v3. Teams can have a max of 4 players.  
– Every member must sign up as an individual.
– IDs will be required for Boys Under17
– ​Every participant must show proof of using public transport (bus, metro, water taxi) to get to the tournament.
