At Dubai’s Fitness First Meadows in Sports Zone Arena, City Football School (Blue) did enough to hold off City Football School (White) for a 1-0 win to top the Under-8s group.

It’s Just Football were at one point bottom of the group but the Dubai-based club turned things around to clinch the U10s title courtesy of a 3-1 win over M&S Sports.

Richard Meek, the It’s Just Football academy manager, said: “It was a superb effort from the team.

"Every player put in a lot of hard work on the day and they were rewarded with another trophy.”

City Football School’s Qaiser Giles and It’s Just Football’s Mohamed Kawatin were adjudged MVPs.

Sports Management Solutions managing director Faris Al Mudaffer, organisers of the event said: “It was great to see so many youngsters embrace the competition.

“There were many closely-fought games as players showcased their skills.

“The feedback from the children and coaches has been positive.

“We want to make futsal grow in the UAE and we plan to organise more tournaments in the future.”

Friday will see the U12 and U15 categories vie for the top prize.
