BWF Destination Dubai World Superseries Badminton Finals


Venue: Hamdan Sports Complex
Start: 2.30pm

The finals of the BWF Destination Dubai World Superseries take place with Chen Long of China facing Hans-Kristian Vittinghus of Denmark in the Men’s decider. World No. 7 Tai Tzu-Ying and Korea’s star performer Sung Ji Hyun will contest the women’s final at 7pm. The event will have a number of activities and family-friendly entertainment including outdoor and picnic areas and there will be a free transport services to and from the stadium for ticket holders.

Wild Wadi Adventure Centre


Venue: Jumeirah Beach Road, Umm Suqeim

Located next to the Burj Al Arab, Wild Wadi offers 30 rides and attractions for all the family. Residents of the UAE can enjoy up to 40 percent off general admission at the water park when they show valid proof of residency.

Paddleboarding with SeaYou


Venue: Kite Beach, Jumeirah
Time: 8.30am

The SeaYou initiative gives people the opportunity to enjoy a fun work-out on the Jumeirah Corniche by combining paddleboarding and yoga. It’s a great chance to learn new skills and keep fit during the festive period.

Volvo Ocean Race 5,000 calorie challenge


Venue: Desination Village, Corniche Breakwater

A trio of leading health organisations will team-up with Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing star Alid Khalid to launch the 5,000 calorie challenge. The complimentary daily spinning class will allow up to 15 cyclists per class to pedal away whilst being linked to Polar Bear Heart Monitors, provided by Healthpoint.

Ferrari World Winter Fesitval

Venue: Yas Island, Abu Dhabi 

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi is gearing up for another festive season with 20 rides and attractions for all the family. The Winter Fest is the first of its kind at the park, and will include a glittering performance by Olympic champion skaters on the custom-built ice rink.

The latest round of the AGL takes place on Friday, with Al Jazira and Al Ain continuing to dominate proceedings at the top of the league. Ali Mabkhout is the star performer for Al Jazira, scoring nine goals in the opening 13 games.
