The Invitation Tournament at the Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens is getting bigger and better and the Netball Tournament is back for its third year with 46 teams confirmed – a record number which will ensure the biggest Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens to-date.
The launch of the Netball Tournament in 2015 was a key step to ensure that the Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens remains the sporting event in the UAE.
This year’s Netball Tournament will see the teams battle it out in three categories, Gulf Women, Open Youth and Open Women – an extra section since the event launched with teams travelling from all over the world to take part.
Invitation Tournament Manager Jill Conlon said: “The launch of the Netball Tournament at the Dubai Sevens in 2015 has given us an opportunity to provide even more sporting entertainment for all our fans and the popularity in the event has been fantastic. Teams are coming from all over the world and we look forward to welcoming all players to the biggest sporting festival in the UAE.”
