Retired English footballer, Owen Hargreaves turns 36 today.

A career that went from Calgary Foothills to Bayern Munich and eventually to Manchester United, achieving great heights, ended in a not-so-good manner.

A hardworking defensive midfielder, Hargreaves’ time at Manchester United though was plagued with injuries, one after the other.

He retired at the age of 31, but his career had been virtually over by 28.

Hargreaves could have been a long-time defensive midfield master for England but numerous injuries bogged his career to a point where he was forced to give up.
